Title: Do aromatic acid groups have anti inflammatory properties?
Post by: CrimpJiggler on September 25, 2011, 11:17:42 AM
I'm reading a medicinal chemistry book at the moment and in the chapter on solubility they claim that "the introduction of an aromatic acid group usually results in anti-inflammatory activity". Is that true? I can't find any information on this. All the NSAIDs I know of have aromatic acid groups so this theory does seem to hold. Can anyone provide more information on this or a link to info on it?
