Hi All,
Looking for advice on Aluminium Oxide removal from closed loop process cooling water.
We have contamination of a process cooling water supply with Aluminium Oxide, levels of 31 mg/L and it should be less than 0.1.
The oxides are coming from equipment that is cooled by the process water. Our previous water treatment was not preventing corrosion which is the Alu Oxide. I was told filtration may not work ?
Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

Aluminium oxide is not soluble in water. Do you mean aluminiumion 31 mg/l?
-
Aluminium is what the report stated, should be less than 0.1mg per litre and we are seeing 30mg per litre.
Water has a white color.

I wonder if this is suspension of alumina nano-particles.
Especially, if there is continual mixing.
-
Yes it does seem to be suspended particles

Can you use a Flocculation process.
