Title: Getting ready for Chemical Engineering (Chemistry Degree Subject)
Post by: Altered State on August 27, 2013, 08:20:56 PM
Hey.
The next September 9th I start a new course of my Chemistry Degree, and I want to be prepared for the subject "Chemical Engineering". I've never took any course directly related with Chemical Engineering, and in order to be able to understand and learn the most and get the higher mark I can, I ask you for advice and recomendations about what should I review before the course starts, o what concepts should I start to understand about the contents I list bellow.  I've just translated it from Spanish, so I'm sorry if there is any mistake.

These are my contents:

1.   Introduction to chemical engineering
2.   Basis of unit operations
3.   Transport. Mass transport, energy transmission.
4.   Introduction to balances
5.   Mass balances in systems with no chemical reaction
6.   Mass balances in systems with chemical reacion
7.   Energy balances
8.   Chemical reactors and bioreactors

Thank you very much, any advice is welcomed, see you.
