qualitative analysis

in qualitative analysis, Ag+, Hg2 2+, and Pb 2+ are separated from other cations by addition of HCl.  calculate the concentration of Cl- required to just begin precipitation of
a.  AgCl
b.  Hg2Cl2
C.  PbCl2

in a solution having metal ion concentrations of .030M  what fraction of Pb 2+ remains in the solution when Ag just begins to precipitate

Well, certainly you need ksp for each.

The most insoluble will start to ppt first.

How much Cl do I need to just see an AgCl ppt?  What is the Pb conc remaining at that Cl conc?

How many Chemical Equations should ideally be used to solve the qualitative equations?

i have been told only n=m/M, C=n/V, empirical formula, percentage composition and water of crystallisation calculations.

is there any others i need to know??
