future of medicinal chemistry
« on: August 30, 2009, 01:46:36 AM »
Is it true that, in recent years, medicinal chemistry has lost its popularity and importance with rapid development of combinatorial chemistry in drug discovery and drug development sector? It has being said that computers can do all work that medicinal chemists do anymore and especially in private sector it is so hard to find a job. This frightens me as a person want to pursue carrier on this field. Should I change my pathway?  What is your observations honorable experienced chemists?
