Hi guys.

Wondered if any of you could help me with this?

Do you know what product would be obtained when estrone (C18H22O2) is treated with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and an acid catalyst?

I dont usually have a problem with these types of questions but this one has a few of us stumped!?  :(

Any help would be great.

It's a standard derivitization reaction.  What would you expect to happen if you reacted 2,4-DNP with acetone?
