Title: orientation effect

hello sir
i m going to appear in an exam.in its syllabus this topic
 "ORIENTATION EFFECT AS EXEMPLIFIED BY VARIOUS  FUNCTIONAL GROUPS " is mentioned. i am not able to understand the meaning of this topic.so  plz help me in this as soon as possible  .

you can find it in index of "advanced organic chemistry jerry march" its not difficult chaptter. ;) :D
