Title: volume occupied
Post by: zeshkani on February 18, 2007, 03:42:38 PM
hi there
how can it be proven that in a simple cubic the volum occupied is 52%, bcc 68%,  is there a possible way to prove that like in the bcc 68% is occupied by the atoms, maybe mathematically ? or any other way ?

thanks

calculations of it are all over the net, just search for e.g. unit cell packing efficiency
