Do any of you know whether a Gilman reagent has ever been made from Lithium cyclopentadienide? I attempted this reaction in the lab recently with no luck, so I'm open to any suggestions from those of you experienced in cuprate synthesis. What solvent would you recommend? What conditions? How long should the reaction be allowed to run?
Thanks

Have you tried any higher-order cuprates such as cyanocuprates? What reaction would you like to do, such as conjugate addition or nucleophilic substitution?
