nitrogen percentage
« on: June 22, 2006, 02:25:18 PM »
I'm a little embaressed but I'm computer illiterate and don't know how to post quesitons so I hope this will work...
Question: someone told me that there is much more nitrogen by fraction in liquid ammonia than in ammonium nitrate, however they seem almost equal.
like 14/17 of NH3 is like 80%
but someone told me that NH4NH3 is 14/35 but i think its 28/35 because theres 2 nitrogens
Am I correct???

What is correct formula of ammonium nitrate?

What is it molar mass?

You are right about two nitrogen atoms.
