Help with volume problem
« on: October 06, 2009, 07:36:55 PM »
An expanding gas does 145.0 of work on it's surroundings on a constant pressure of 1.03 atm. If the gas initially occupied 68.0 mL. What is the final volume of gas?

what formulas do u know for work at constant pressure that includes a final volume, initial volume, pressure and work (the stuff given to u)

what should pop into your head is W = -P(V2 - V1)

The question asks u to solve for final volume but u gotta think about what sign u use for work (is it positive work or negative work)
