Just ran into the concept of pyroelectric! Tourmaline seems to be good for this, but is it expensive? I think its considered a precious stone...  :-\

Is power output from piezoelectric effects and pyroelectic effects mostly the same?

i like the piezoelectric idea.. there are cheap man made crystals such as lead titanates/lead zirconates.. very stable crystals... as you know of these crystals genetrate petential enegery difference due to external stress.. so why not find a crystal triggered by noice  ;D you don't need to kick anybody or nething ;) people around you would give enough power to it.. sound waves.. yea less energy but stomething is possible atleast.. :P
