which of the substances is more soluble in Hexane or Water and why:

CS2
NH4Cl
oil
CH3OH
CH3OH
HO(CH2)14CH3

I think oil and water don't mix ;)

this is what i got
CS2 hexane
NH4Cl Water
oil Hexane
CH3OH Hexane
HO(CH2)14CH3 Hexane

methanol is definetly soluble in water
