wax/solvent blend and optical resins

Hi,

I'm looking to blend a wax and solvent and, when the solvent evaporates, ensure that the wax will not melt under typical usage. The original melt point of the wax is around 135 degrees, easily reached in the trunk of a car on a hot summer's day. The device I'm building may end up in someone's trunk at some point and I do not want it melting on them...

So I've been reading up on EVAs -- ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers -- and how you could add it into the mixture to ensure good solidity and no melting (within reason -- 200-400 degrees).

The papers make mention of a few EVAs, as well as other resins like cumarone or styrene. What is most important about these resins is that they mix clear, and preserve the excellent optical properties inherent to wax.

Do you know of any commercial suppliers of resins like these?

Bear in mind I'm just a guy with a household kitchen for a "lab".
