BENZIMIDAZOLE

CAN one provide me with papers in synthesis of benzimidazole espicially i am going to master program in hcv and synthersis of non nucleoside inhibitor of polymerase enzyme

The very basic information here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzimidazole  contains not only typical synthesis methods, but 3 links to peer-reviewed journals, which you can get at most good university libraries.

thank you very much for your fast reply. i am searching for analouges that can be easily synthesized for hcv i search for forum about drug discovery in hcv but i couldnot find any thing

Well, lets start with a reference you happen to have to an article in a  peer-reviewed journal regarding the use of benzamidozole and it's analogues as HCV therapeutics.  A drug discovery forum, now that would be interesting.  Umm... do I still get to patent the drugs whose structure I share freely with anyone?  'Cause if not, you won't see many expert opinions on line, just the generalized, more simplistic information.

I am now searching to find some analouges for the compunds previously synthetized with benzimidazole scaffold and searching for scientific papers of benzimidazole synthesis to determine the final scheme
