hydrobromic acid and hydroiodic acid?

Is there any place that sells these acids to individuals?  In small quantities preferably.  Or is that impossible because of the drug trade?

No way you can buy HI. It is Federal DEA List I Chemical.

can you make it yourself using HCl and something else

i guess that won't work

but other synthesis is possible i guess

I've bought elemental iodine off of ebay.  But, you'll get yourself on some FBI watch list. But what respectable chemist isn't on a watch list?
