Absorption spectrum of urushiol

(1/2) > >>

lmagee:
I am looking for a way to visualize urushiol, does anyone know where I may be able to find an absorption spectrum for urushiol? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Garneck:
IUPAC name? Molecular formula? ::)

CAS Registry No. ?  ;)

Vette Freak:
Urushiol oil is the active compound in poison ivy.
A vague description of the structure is given here in the 6th paragraph -

savoy7:
Just to give a heads up, the structure of urushiol is at this site

look under common names on the left side.

Note:  this doesn't answer Imagee's question only the 2 following it.

Garneck:
I doubt you will find any spectrum of it. If SDBS doesn't have it, then no-one will. They only have 5-pentadecylresorcinol IR spectrum (which is an isomer of urushiol).
