Doubt oN pi and Sigma bonds

i know that head on overlap  results in sigma bond and sideways overlap is Pi bond
i need to know that when a atom for Eg: when we r asked to find the no of sigma and pi bonds in molecules such as SiO6, C2H2,H2SO4 how to ind this...Pls hlp Tests r approching
