What is the chemistry of rhodamine 123? If it is synthesized, what is the starting reactant and how many reactions are needed to get the finished product? A typical google search turned up nothing. Where online can I find answers to chemistry questions such as this one?

Rhodamine 123 is a member of triphenylmethane group dyes. Search library for books on dyes synthesis
