Title: Enthalpy of dissolution
Post by: costas on October 22, 2010, 07:00:27 AM
I'm trying to solve the following exercise but I can't. I don't know English well, so forgive any mistakes

The solubility of the organic acid C2H4(COOH)2 (melting  point : 186 ° C ) in 100 g of water is 2.35 g at 0 ° C and 6.76 g at 24.8 ° C. Calculate the enthalpy of dissolution of this substance in water. (Individual weights: C = 12, O = 16, H = 1).
