Metal-ligand

I do past paper and I get stucked when I face these two questions:

1. Recalling there are two ways to develop a large 10 Dq in a complex, increasing the energy of eg* orbitals, or lowering the energy of T2g orbitals. What factors accounts for the high field strength of the hydride (H-) and carbonyl (CO) ligands.

2. Draw the bonding scheme of NO+ (NO triple bond with a positive charge) with a transition metal fragment, which contains non-bonding d orbitals.

For Q.1, High field strength is due to higher electron density in HOMO??
For Q.2, What meant by bonding scheme? MOs? NO is pi donar or pi acceptor? This makes me difficult to work for a scheme!!!
