Melting point of Racemate vs Pure enantiomers
« on: August 28, 2010, 08:00:22 AM »
Hi all,

I know that they have different temperatures but why do racemate have different temperatures from a mixture containing only pure enantiomers (either l or d only)? Is it because of packing?

Would be appreciated if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks.
