Do Not Steal A Berkeley Professor's Laptop!

If you are a potential thief, I hope you'll realize it's not worth this kind of trouble. Enjoy this video from the most ticked off professor I have ever seen. Click picture to see video.

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Still or Steal? LOL.. This is so funny... What about security breach due to the Professor's own fault?

I though that was funny. Mitch/anyone, if you find out what happens you have to post it.

If it's real, all of the thieves friends (assuming it's a student) are probably not going to want to know him anymore.

I thought I heard that this was a hoax.  Someone stole his laptop, but the threats were just a scare tactic to get it back.  I may be wrong though....

They may be an idle threat, but that room is real.  It's 1 Pimentel Hall, and that video is from a webcast.  Given the circumstances and the fact that you can see students in the rows in front of the camera, I would bet it actually occured during class.

That being said, Geodome is right, were that professor to actually have that information on his computer, he would be liable for not safeguarding it properly.  Of course, this may be why he's so upset.  My guess is that he's just an *Ignore me, I am a weenie* like many of the profs here.  I'd be interested to know which prof it is, but I didn't recognize the guy.

I wonder if the professor is bluffing.
