Liquids

Liquids do not require force to change shape, but are "affected by heat".

What does is mean "Affected by heat"? Is it like [Evaporation of water] for example?

Thanks.

Liquids do not require force to change shape,

That's not a great definition of liquid, but I'd bet I'd find something like that in a beginner text.

Now that gives me a serious whiskey-tango-foxtrot, just like you.

Could be, but then, everything is "affected by heat", isn't it?  Solids melt, liquids evaporate, gases become plasma.  I wouldn't put something (heat), that affects everything, in a definition, that kinda ruins the whole point of a definition?  Doesn't it?

If you're really inclined, you can type in more context, more of the paragraph around these facts could be interesting, at least for a laugh.  But I'm betting our conclusion is going to be, "get a better textbook."
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
