hello all ,,, i need hydrogen peroxide & Muriatic acid to create the etching solution.
and i search in internet ant i found that this alchemy solution can help me to etching in copper plate, is this right ?
if yes ,,, can i buy this solution from alchemy store ? or this solution not allow to sell for anyone ? (i'm sooo NoOb in alchemy )
1 more thing plz ,,, if it's possible to someone write the formula for each solution and write if there is another name for this material plz

Muriatic acid is also known as hydrochloric acid (HCl). I'm not sure if concentrated HCl would be available to an amateur chemist. You can buy dilute solutions of hydrogen peroxide from most drugstores. Concentrating these dilute solutions can be very dangerous, however.

muriatic acid can be found in hardware stores like Home Depot
hydrogen peroxide can be found in drug stores like CVS

I am wondering that this receipe is shown in a magazin. Depending on concentration Chlorine gas can exposed by mixing of Peroxide and Hydrochloric. So its dangerous to use. More safe are solutions which using sulfuric acid instead of hydrochloric. Also Persulfate instead of Peroxide is more safe to handle. These mixture also used in the PCB manufactering.

This is a known recipe, widely used (http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=pcb+etching+hydrogen+peroxide&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest), it was even discussed here, at PF (you may need to search forums). If neither HCl nor H2O2 are too concentrated it is safe. When they ARE concentrated (or when you use concentrated sulfuric acid instead of HCl) you are in troubles (google piranha solution).

I am working in this business making printed circuit boards. I am not saying using conc. sulfuric. Receipes are 35 ml/l sulfuric 50%w.w plus 80 g/l sodiumpersulfat.
And the given link also guides to sulfuric acid Peroxide.
Mixture of HCl and Peroxide can depending of the concentration of course create some problems.
Othe etching system is using copper chlorides CuCl <=> CuCl2 adjusted with Peroxide in an closed chamber.
But here it was talsking about to do hobby etching and this ist o dangerous.

Muriatic acid u can get at menards at a 32% concentration. And h202. U can slowly boil off water with the solution never reaching a boil at a temp of under 100C. You can reach about a 25-30%concentration at best under atmospheric pressure. Just make sure your glass is very clean.

I've never prepared conc H2O2 but I read that it is risky to concentrate it by boiling. All pharmacies have it and it is always 3% solution. The rest of it is probably pure water.
Hydrochloric acid (please stop calling it muriatic acid) can be bought from any hardware store. I guess it is used in pools since that's what the instructions say.

Nah vm it only gets risky after u go past 50%. But the highest u can boil down to at atmospheric is 35%. I ve done it from 3% to 35%. U just need clean glass ware I cleaned with alconox then acetone the with distilled water. Soon I will be attempting to make 50%. I have heard it's pyrophoric and would need to pull a strOng vacuum to do it

also technically your not boiling it, just heating gently to drive off some water keeping the surface temperature under the decomp point of H2O2
