I'm sure that algebra is essential. Is Geometry essential or any other math above arithmetic?

For what class, is this freshman chemistry? highschool chemistry? For either of those, basic algebra abilities should be enough.

Basic algebra should be enough. Understand how to rearrange equations to solve for a variable, you do that a lot. You don't really need geometry or trig.

Well thanks much. Since this is my first post you are my first friend. That's cool. I hope that not too personal for you. I getting ready to begin studying chemistry, so I will have many questions. I just wanted to make sure that I was fully prepared to master this science. Are you a chemistry college student?

Yes, I am a college chemistry student. However, there are many people on here who can help you with your questions, and they range from other students to graduates of college, to experienced professionals.
