Coloring Bronze

I do a lot of work with Bronze and have created many different colors by mixing chemicals. Recently I mixed Ammonia, Vinegar and Liver of Sulfur with great results.

My question, is that mixture as dangerous as I have been told?

Liver of Sulphur is potassium sulfide which can produce poisonous H2S gas when mixed with acids (etc. vinegar). Just make sure you have good ventilation when doing the patina.

just out of curiosity: What colour does this mixture have?
