Ferrofluids relation to electrochemistry

How are ferrofluids related to electrochemistry? I know that ferrofluids are liquids that have magnetic properties when in contact with a magnetic field. But I'm unsure on how ferrofluids can be related back to electrochemistry. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is no electrochemistry involved, according to:

maybe my question isn't clear. i'm trying to ask how can i relate ferrofluids to electrochemistry?

So how you define "electrochemistry"?,   -  Maybe different to:
