Title: Hydrolysis ?
Post by: hiswifetheirmom on November 08, 2009, 11:24:28 AM
Given that Hydrolysis is the reaction of a substance with water to form an acid or base, use the pH measured for washing soda (our pH measured was 12) and answer:

Does washing soda, Na2CO3, hydrolyze in water?  Give your reasoning.

Thank you in advance.  :)
