I doubt Rutherfordium obeys the octet rule.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

You should use the octet rule for II period. But even for the second period the octet rule sometimes is impossible to fullfilll, ie: H3BO3. For octahedral and trigonal bipyramidal complexes the octet rule cannot be fulfilled.
