Percent Yield
« on: September 07, 2009, 05:26:00 PM »
When heated with sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid, cyclohexanol (C6H11OH) is converrted to cyclohexene (C6H10).

C6H11OH(l)-->C6H10(l)+H20 (l)

If the percent yield of this reaction is 83%, what mass of cyclohexanol must we use to obtain 25g cyclohexene?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is a good clue. I'll try to expand a tiny bit on it.....how can you convert your products and reactants into moles? :P
