Can you suggest an good book and handbook for organic spectroscopy (IR and NMR)
-
depens on what you need. to you need an explanation how to interpret spectra or just some sort of database with chemical shifts and coupling constants etc?
-
both of them, notably for interpret spectra
-
Spectrometric identification of organic compounds (Fifth Edition) R. M. SILVERSTEIN, G. C. BASSLER AND T. C. MORRILL. Wiley, New York, 1991. No. of pages: 430. ISBN 0471 63404 2. Price: £50.25, $76.10. (about the half price by e-buying or less).
-
Spectroscopic Methods in Organic Chemistry 6th edition by Dudley H Williams and Ian Fleming also deserves consideration

I use this book a professor recommend us:
Pavia, D. L. (2008). Introduction to spectroscopy. Belmont, Ca: Brooks/Cole.
-
Structure Determination of Organic Compounds by Erno Pretsch, Philippe Buhlman, and Martin Badertscher is what most people I know use for tables with chemical shifts, coupling constants, etc

I like Organic Spectroscopy - William Kemp
