Title: remove corrosion inhibitors from commercial sulfuric acid (98-99%)
Post by: whii on November 24, 2007, 12:16:40 PM
Hi everybody,

i bought a bottle of commercial sulfuric acid used to clear the drainage pipes.

Its concentration is 65 Bé (98%), but isn't clear: it is dark brown, and on the label is written that there are some corrosion inhibitors, but aren't specified names.

Now, how can i do to separate the brown dye (if it is present) and the corrosion inhibitors from the sulfuric acid? Because i don't know what they are !

Thank you  :), i'm sorry for the bad english  :(
