Dear All,

I am new to the site here.  I have a question about space time yields in reactors and the use of recycle in reactor operation.

In my online searches I have read that in some cases if you use recycle in a chemical reactor the space time yield for the reaction can increase quite significantly.

My question is this:  if you tried using the recycle and got lucky and the space time yield increased quite a lot would that usually mean you would permanently adopt the use of the recycle and consider it to be a permanent advantage to use it rather than a single pass reactor process?

Comments appreciated
