organolithium and organomagnesium
« on: January 11, 2006, 10:45:55 PM »
Hi,

I am wondering whether organolithium and organomagnesium can only be formed in 1 degree, 2 degree, aryl, and vinyl alkyl halides>  From what I have seen, that seems to be the case, but the book never explicitly states.  Thank you.

Nope, you can by t-butyllithium too!

I actually don't know how they make it though.
