Does anybody know of any good free scientific calculator applets?
-
What do you mean, do you want to just use the calculator, or do you want code?

You can switch the calculator in accessories to scientific mode in M$Windows operating system, but that is not free if you do not have windows. Free is always a relative term.

Thanks guys. I did actually already try searching on google (believe it or not ;)). However there are som many to choose from and I am still working my way through them. I was hoping that someone could recommend a good one. I want to incorporate it into a website with pre-lab questions so it is easy to do calculations. Maybe people have other suggestions?

Mike, have you ever used a program called mathcad? It's not internet based, but might be interesting to look at otherwise.
-
Isn't MathCad "a little" overkill?
-
on ms calculator go view->scientific

Mathcad is never overkill, it's great.

It works fine for me in firefox.

It is erratic in Opera - at first I have seen nothing, now I see it, but it is still not OK. Hard to explain.
