Title: The Ultimate Reaction Calculator
Post by: DFliyerz on December 03, 2014, 02:41:50 PM
This is probably a huge long shot, and I doubt anything even close to this exists, but I thought I'd ask anyways; is there anything where you can enter two reactants and have it spit out the possible products, or enter a product and have it offer possible reactants? I can imagine this would take years and years to compile and make, but I'd also imagine that it would be one of the most useful resources in the world of chemistry.

To the left side of this forum pages is a box
Site friends
There are some interesting sources of Chemistry information in those links
They are not what you wanted but will give you some interesting calculators

Well, since it seems not to exist, I'll ask another question: is there a website that possibly provides lists of chemical compounds and their reactions with other chemicals?

I have never heard about such a website, but I do know databases like that exist. Sorry, no links, no names ATM.

Do you have an example of such a database?

It is possible.. by making an virtual system that makes virtual atoms to react to each other... Its programming stuff.
I have heard abt simulation of how our universe got its shape.. If this is possible then calculator is also possible.

Technically yes, it is possible. In practice we are still not there.
