Questions on the Miller-Urey Apparatus
« on: December 08, 2012, 04:54:43 AM »
While I was working on something entirely unrelated, my mind randomly began thinking about the Miller-Urey experiment. And When I say began thinking, I mean I went from calculating regressions to deciding that a couple modifications to the Miller-Urey apparatus could potentially lead to interesting results. I've not read anything about the Miller-Urey experiment for a least a year and a half, so I'm not really sure where it came from. But, I've learned to trust my intuition. It's led to fun experiments in the past.

My only issue at the moment is I have no idea what the upper-chamber with the electrodes would be called. Searches have provided no information aside from the fact that the apparatus itself was custom. Are pieces similar to the upper-chamber made today? If so, what are they called?

Thanks in advance,
Elodin
