why do transition metals chemistry have the wide range of oxidation states???
is that any related to its imcompleted 3d orbitals when we are talking about its ion state??

the thing with transition metals is that they don't give all their electrons when they are ionized. so their is not one distinct oxidation state but several ones.
Math and alcohol don't mix, so... please, don't drink and derive!
