Name this compound
« on: March 11, 2009, 11:17:29 PM »
Does anyone know what to call this? I looked into IUPAC naming for benzene derivatives and could only find rules for simple compounds. I came up with 1,4-di-(1,1-dimethylpropyl)dimethoxybenzene though I'm not too sure about it.

I am trying to figure it out so I can look up a literatuve m.p. value.

No I think you should name the major chain first and then add the name of the 2 other CH3 groups like bartel's chemsketch did
