Title: Hydrometer correction formula for cooler temperatures
Post by: twiane on August 03, 2016, 07:13:09 AM
Hi, I'm using a hydrometer to measure SG of glycerol solutions. My hydrometer is calibrated at 15.6°C (60°F). I am working in colder temperatures than this, and  so density reading will be higher, but getting accurate specific gravity is important. How do I correct for cooler temperatures? Ultimately I am aiming to find the density of a neutrally buoyant object.

Thanks
