Ionization Constant
« on: February 24, 2011, 08:58:52 PM »
Sulfurous acid, H2SO3, is a weak acid capable of providing two H+ ions.
What is the pH of a 0.45M solution of H2SO3?
What is the equilibrium concentration of the sulfite ion, SO32-, in the 0.45M solution of H2SO3?

Should the ionization constants be givens in this question?

Use both ionization compounds from tables given in your textbook or take them from reliable handbooks.
