Title: EDTA Extractable Metals In Soils
Post by: mcbren on January 08, 2011, 06:11:03 PM
Hi guys!

I have a question regarding EDTA and soils.

EDTA was added to 2.5g of air dried soil, filtered and the supernatant analysed for Arsenic. The 3 values were 28087.78, 27756.97 and 27772.01 ug/l.

Now I'm told I need a soil moisture determination to express the extractable metals on an oven dried basis.

Can anyone shine some light on what this means and if these values  need converting??

Thank you!
