Lead Acetate

Please HELP needed with research!!!

Hi, I posting in the hopes that some one  can help me out...

I do not study chemistry, but would really love to. I do, however work with chemicals -I am a hairdresser & Artistic Director-I travel around the country  & share technical skills & product knowledge with hairdressers. As you probably know, hairdressers don't know about chemicals they work with, they mainly know how to use them, but not about them & often they like to play a 'chemist'  in the back rooms, often creating undesirable  results  on one's head, mixing what they shouldn't. My job is to teach them how to get right results & not play chemists when they not sure why they mix what they mix.

I have the need to know  the 'why's' , the 'how's'  of things at all times (a wondering mind), I always  self educate myself on the road & read a lot of books. My latest research have been learning & understanding about all the ingredients  in hair products, that we, consumers use & why they are there 'beyond the beauty' reasons... . I have found a lot information in many books & internet &  it is been very helpful. But now that I got to the part about products that we use for chemical services -I got to a halt and I need your help to understand it.

I have found a web side called SKIN DEEP, on it you can type in any ingredient & it will show which products have that particular one. Well I typed in LEAD ACETATE & it came up with over 30 hair color products that contain it. Only 3 of the products have it printed on the ingredients list & not on the rest ( or it is printed but I don't know what they are?). So I wanted to ask you to please help me to identify it, if it's there. Example:

 DARK & LOVELY Permanent Haircolor-

Ingredients: (from retailer or packaging) Water Aqua , Hydrogen Peroxide , Cetearyl Alcohol , Ceteareth-30 , Glycerin , Sodium Stannate , Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate , Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA , Propylene Glycol , Hexylene Glycol , PEG-2 Oleamine , Oleyl Alcohol , Polyglyceryl-2 Oleyl Ether , Polyglyceryl-4 Oleyl Ether , Alcohol Denat. , Ethanolamine , Oleic Acid , Sodium Diethylaminopropyl Cocoaspartamide , P-Phenylenediamine , Pentasodium Pentetate , Ammonium Acetate , Sodium Metabisulfite , P-Aminophenol , Erythorbic Acid , Toluene-2,5-Diamine Sulfate , Rice Bran Oil Oryza Sativa , Phenyl Methyl Pyrazolone , Resorcinol , M-Aminophenol , Hydrolyzed Rice Protein , Cocamidopropyl Betaine , Sodium Laureth Sulfate , Cocamide MEA , Polysorbate 20 , Phenoxyethanol , Polyquaternium-7 , Fragrance Parfum , Methylparaben , Potassium Sorbate , Glycol Stearate , Polyquaternium-10 , Polyquaternium-47 , Aloe Barbadensis Gel , Disodium EDTA , Citric Acid , Tocopheryl Acetate , Violet 2 CI 60730 , Mineral Oil Paraffinum Liquidum , Dicetyldimonium Chloride , PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil , Polquaternium-37 , Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate , PPG-1-Trideceth-6 , Ethylparaben , Butylparaben , Isobutylparaben , Propylparaben , Yellow 5 CI 19140 , Panthenol , Cholesterol

Is there any ingredients or combinations of ingredients that are considered to be lead acetate or a form of it? ???

Thank you in advance.

I think the website is messing up/in error; or you are interpreting it wrong.

As while there are other names for lead acetate, I do not see one there.

Point of fact:

Ahh, thank you Enahs, for looking over that list of ingredients... I did checked out that web side before.

If there any chance you could post other known names for it other than- Lead Acetate, Trihydrate; lead (II) acetate, trihydrate; acetic acid lead (II) salt, trihydrate; lead diacetate, trihydrate; Salt of Saturn?

Again, thank you :)

lead diethonate, lead ethnoate, ethanoic acid lead salt, acetic acid lead salt, sugar of lead and probably some others.

Note, it might have found some for as you wrote "DARK & LOVELY Permanent Haircolor-" but no all of those are equal, different colors will have different chemical components.

I also know from experience of buying the wrong one (on multiple occasions) that there are many for different hair types (dry, oily, normal, etc etc) which again would have different chemical components (unless they are just lying). So you might look at others that fall under that heading of “DARK & LOVELY Permanent Haircolor-“.

Yes, different tones in the same line do have different components in it.
From the experience I have seen before, when proffesional hair color were applyed over certant 'box' hair color- it would get really hot & start to smoke in the hair, were in other cases same brand were used & nothing is wrong. So I am trying to figure out which ones coase that or maybe it could be other reasons (like maybe components in the water that they use at home).

Here is a different brand-
L'Oréal Couleur Experte Multi-Tonal Color System
Biscotti 7.0; Brioche 6.3; Butterscotch 7.3; Caramel Glaze 5.0; Cherry Cordial 6.6; Chocolate Macaroon 5.3; Cinnamon Stick 5.5; Dulce de Leche 8.3; Fortune Cookie 9.0; Ginger Twist 6.4; Iced Latte 9.1

Ingredients: (from retailer or packaging) Multi-Tonal Gel Creme Color Base: Multi-Tonal Gel Creme: Water, Deceth-3, Laureth-12, Oleth-30, Deceth-5, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA, Ammonium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Oleic Acid, Hexadimethrine Chloride, Oleyl Alcohol, Polyquaternium-6, Fragrance, p-Aminophenol, Ethanolamine, Sodium Metabisulfite, Ascorbic Acid, EDTA, m-Aminophenol, Polyquaternium-24, p-Phenylenediamine, Resorcinol, 6-Hydroxyindole, o-Aminophenol.

Micro-Fine Illuminating Powder: Potassium Persulfate, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Persulfate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Urea, Kaolin, Magnesium Stearate, Ammonium Chloride, Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate, VP/VA Copolymer, Polydecene, Sodium Metasilicate, Magnesium Peroxide, EDTA, Titanium Dioxide, Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum, Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch, Sodium Benzoate.

Is Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer same as Alkyl Lead compound?
Magnesium Stearate?
Magnesium Peroxide?
Titanium Dioxide?

No, no, no, no. Completely different compounds.
