Specific Heats of MgO, MgCl2, H2
« on: October 28, 2008, 09:38:46 PM »
This is for and IB Class, I figured it to be college level so I would post here but if I should post elsewhere I will next time

I am doing a lab for school but it isn't finding those specific heats, if thats the right name (correct me).

I want the specific ____ thats units are Joules per Degree Celsius per gram (J/(g*C)

You can answer this question or refer me to a site (not a book) with specific heats for at least the chemicals listed

Thank You very much

Specific heat capacity? I believe you can do the unit conversion even if it is not given in the units you want.

H2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specific_heat_capacity
MgO: http://www.answers.com/topic/magnesium-oxide
MgCl2: http://www.cezus-consult.com/uploaded/pdf/secu-mg-cl2-powder-7.pdf
No matters what results are waiting for us, it's nothing but the DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!
