what would happen if imidazole acted as an acid to react with Ch3MgBr (a base).
im thinking the proton on the N is too acidic to allow Ch3MgBr to attack there. so if the other N attacks, would would the product look like?

Why would a proton being 'too acidic' be a problem? I'd pick the proton on the pyrrole like nitrogen for site of deprotonation.
