Looking to purchase septa
« on: September 13, 2011, 03:27:56 PM »
Hey all,

I'm looking to purchase some septa for HS/GC, and I was wondering if anyone could furnish me with a recommendation. I've looked at a few commercial websites, but I just can't find anything apropos to my current needs.

The closest thing I've been able to find is the gray septum depicted in the picture here:

I need something similar to this in morphology--something with the same sort of plug shape. Unfortunately, Fisher is a little scarce on the product details. They're also remiss in returning my calls and emails. The key factors in my decision are that it needs to have the same shape (able to set into a pre-cut aperture and form an airtight seal) and thinness (preferably something in the range of 1-2mm--something that won't bend the needle on the autosampler syringe).

Thanks.
