Copper not dissolving in nitric acid

Recently ive bought some copper wire online, when added into 70% nitric acid it did not dissolve despite stirring and waiting. Has anyone else encountered this before and how can i fix this issue? I know the acid is 70% because ive used it before to dissolve pennies and in nitration.

What kind of wire did you bought. Is it to produce coppercoil.
This wire is coated with a special paint. Take some and burn it in a flame, after that it should dissolve in acid.

I threw it into a fire for a bit and afterwards it dissolved in the acid. Thanks for the *delete me*
