Dilutions

A student is given 60.0 g of NAOH aq. He dissolves this in 750ml of water. He is then told to dilute this solution and make 500ml of a 0.500mol/L solution. How much of the original solution must the student use?

I have no idea how to start. Any suggestions?

Calculate molarity of the first solution. Then use C1V1 = C2V2 (as described in dilution and mixing lecture).
