The question is to draw a cell notation for the following reaction in a galvanic cell.
4Fe2+(aq) + O2(g) + 4H+(aq) :rarrow: 4Fe3+(aq) + 2H2O(l)
This is how I wrote it:
{Pt(s)|Fe2+(aq)(1M), Fe3+(aq)(1M)||H2O(l)|H+(aq)(1M)|O2(g)|Pt(s)}
Is this correct? I was unsure of what to do with the H2O since I've never seen it in a cell notation before. But I included it because it makes the whole flow of electrons from left to right make sense.
Any help would be very appreciated!
